Network Installation Services

T.A. Edison Corp. has the ability to provide and install integrated manageable voice, data, and video networks. Our network design and installation personnel have experience in all cable types, including unshielded twisted pair, shielded twisted pair, coax and fiber optics. Experienced T.A. This project involved the installation and cut over of a new copper and fiber optic cable infrastructure to accommodate the new Pro-touch administration system and Mentor patient monitoring system in multiple Vencor hospitals across the United States.

The scope of this project included the installation of twelve-strand fiber optic cable between the new MDF and the new IDF locations. In addition, a 200 pair voice tie cable was installed along with the fiber optics. On the station cabling side, T.A. Edison Corp. installed on average of 120 quad Category 5 station locations utilizing Mod-Tap termination panels and station outlets.

To distribute the station cable in an orderly fashion, T.A. Edison Corp. installed over 1600 feet of 12, 18 and 24 inch cable tray, which extended from the respective MDF/IDF and throughout the facility. Within the MDF, open bay relay racks were installed to house the patch panels and customer provided network electronics. Within the IDF, four relay racks were installed to support the same items.

In this project T.A. Edison Corp. installed Voice and data station cabling for counter agents and office staff at twenty-four locations throughout California.

The scope of this project included the installation Category 5 station cable for both voice and data station outlets. MDF IDF locations were upgraded with new racking and cable tray along with vertical and horizontal wire management. For this project T.A. Edison Corp. selected Ortronics Category 5 termination hardware for all station connections. At some locations, a fiber optic backbone and 100 pair copper backbone was installed to support remote IDF closets.
